Richard Todd and John Huston began performing together in the Summer of 2009 and since then have presented numerous concerts throughout the United States and in Italy. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram hailed a recent duo performance for its "considerable energy and impressive virtuosity." In 2011, Huston and Todd released their debut recording, Pura Vida: Music of Latin America for Two Guitars, on the Soundset label.
John and Richard were both accomplished soloists when they began collaborating. The combination of their markedly different styles has resulted in vital, energetic performances of both ancient and contemporary music. They have been invited to perform for numerous festivals and concert series including the Guitar on the Mediterranean Festival in Cervo, Italy, the Austin Peay State University Summer Guitar Workshop and Competition, the Fort Worth Guitar Guild Music Festival and the University of Louisville Guitar Festival and Competition.
